A garden store stylish enough to inspire non-gardeners

I don't have outdoor space in my apartment, but this is the place I go to fantasize about what I'd plant if I did. Everything at this beautifully-maintained garden and home store is design-conscious and city-friendly, and just walking in the back garden on a sunny day is enough to inspire calmness, whether you have a green thumb or not.

Spout Home has by far the best selection of pots and containers around. Selection is special - design oriented, eco-friendly and there are a variety of sizes, colors and styles (not the bad plastic and/or washed out glazes that make up the selection at most places.) I live in Manhattan but was unable to find good looking pots and planters until I found this place, so now when it's repotting time I make the trip out there - also their prices are reasonable and sales-help are friendly and helpful. I'm an indoor window gardener.

Some Hints:

  • The best reviews give a clear sense of why you liked or disliked a restaurant, bar, or store. And that means details. Mention specifics dishes, type of crowd, pros and cons...
  • If it's helpful to compare one place to another, go for it.
  • Come up with clever, funny, pithy subject lines, and write in the first person.
  • Don't forget to read the user rating guidelines and rules.
