Bad Service Outweighs the Trendiness

  • No, I would not go back!

The place is cool but the staff makes it apparent we're doing them a favor by being in the restaurant. The seating process was overly difficult and finally when we were seated, we asked for bread - the response [in a condescending tone] "we're really busy right now, not sure if I can get bread". We were in shock. The food was good, the prices were reasonable but the service was awful. I felt compelled to write this review because I was simply taken aback by the whole thing. There are much better experiences in the neighborhood - Peels, Hung Ry, Hecho en Dumbo, the Bowery Hotel.

Some Hints:

  • The best reviews give a clear sense of why you liked or disliked a restaurant, bar, or store. And that means details. Mention specifics dishes, type of crowd, pros and cons...
  • If it's helpful to compare one place to another, go for it.
  • Come up with clever, funny, pithy subject lines, and write in the first person.
  • Don't forget to read the user rating guidelines and rules.
