I went to several shops before going to The White Gown because I just didn't yet feel secure with my choice. The White Gown was in the neighborhood of my office, so I thought I should check it out as a final stop. Of all shops I visited, I had the greatest experience here and bought my dress here. I cannot say enough good things about this shop. The atmosphere when you walk in is very warm and welcoming. My consultant was Erica and she worked with my budget, which was not huge, and helped me find a fabulous dress. She was extremely professional and did not pressure me to purchase. She showed me what I asked to see and a few different options, and I ended up with something that was a little different and felt exactly like me. Siobhan, the seamstress, was wonderful also and added a sweetheart neckline to the dress in addition to the bustle. She is very talented--she made the sweetheart look like it had been on the dress originally--and she even spent time with one of my bridesmaids at my last fitting showing her how to lace my dress. I married out of state, and the shop even held my dress for me until I left for the wedding. I think what I liked the best was that everyone was respectful of me and the process of selecting a dress, which can feel so overwhelming. I didn't feel like a dollar sign. Every step of my experience there was positive, and I highly recommend the shop.

I checked out at least 6 other places for my wedding gown (most of them being in Manhattan) and I made an appt to the White Gown - just to check it out, just in case. I am SOOO glad that I took that long trip to Brooklyn to see the dresses. The service was absolutely delightful - Erica, my consultant, was just so helpful. She really made me feel like she was there to help me to pick out THE DRESS within my budget -w/o any pressure, not just to sell me a dress. The selection was huge and I bought the dress that night. They give you 10% off if you buy the dress during your 1st visit. Siobhan (seamstress) has been so helpful and did an excellent job on the alteration. I would definitely recommend this place to any girl who wants to shop for that perfect dress w/o feeling like you are just a name or a # on the waiting list!
