Just cuz a store wants to be considered "hip" doesn't mean the staff has to be so "holier than thou". And their requirements for having your wanting-to-be-consigned items "approved" by them is also a bit much. For a place that is supposed to be fashion-forward, I found their selection quite predictable. Whatever is deemed to be "in", that is all they will carry. There is nothing truly "original" there...it's only whatever is trendy at the moment. Being someone that loaths "trends", most of what they carry there is not for me. But it's perfect for EV/LES/Billyburg hipster types.

I am addicted to this store - almost every day after work i walk home and cannot resist - the stuff changes all the time, the prices are the best in town , jeans of all brands and colors - cheaper then INA - great japanese brands like undercover and comme as well as Dries, Dior, prada, chloe , MJ. LV, Gucci, todd's, Y3, shoes , coats, clothing, bags, wallets!!!!..PLUS suff sometimes is new or off the runway ( shoe bottoms cut for catwalk) looove it!!!! great for mens too! all the stime a stock of comme, yamamoto coats, shoes and jeans the staff makes it a VERY Authentic Tokyo shop ( been there, I know) - few words , keep it to themselves, unless you speak japanese there's no danger of hearing "can I help you" but I got used to it and I like to take my time. For extra shopping , keep walking down the street and Amarcord has great vintage to go with your "almost" new stuff!
