Best Dog Boutique on the Planet!
By ThomasH on 9/23/2009
This is my favorite place to shop for stuff for my dog and buy gifts for friends' dogs. Everything in the store is fabulous. And the presentation is extremely well curated and is always in total order (unlike lots of other pet stores in the city where the displays are constantly a mess). They have an excellent selection of well-made, well-fitting coats and sweaters for dogs - something I'm always in search of since my dog is a major "cold wimp" since moving to New York from Florida. I've also bought awesome custom dog ID tags, collars, leashes, beds - pretty much everything for my dog at this store or its website. Great selection, great service, knowledgeable staff that will find out an answer if they don't know it (always hard to find in Manhattan!). I would highly recommend Trixie and Peanut!

First its just the coolest looking store. Great design and the clothes, accessories and toys live up to the store design. The buyer has a great eye. This is my go to place for all my pet"s needs and of course my need for a fun impulse buy. For less than $15 I can pick up a unique toy that makes my day.

Trixie and Peanut is a one stop shop for my beloved Yorkie and I. I have been shopping here since they opened in 2001 and have been a loyal customer ever since. The owners and staff are highly knowledgeable, provide EXCEPTIONAL customer service, and always have the best products and selection! I've been a loyal customer for almost 10 years and cant say enough how much I enjoy shopping at T + P! The BEST in NYC! I would recommend them to anyone, and I will be a loyal customer for years to come!!

I went into trixie and peanut today looking for a new collar for my pup...I ended up walking out witharmfuls of amazing stuff for my dog...toys, treats, a bed and of course a collar and leash! they had everything I wanted in stock and suprisingly in the sizes I needed. I bought a crappy collar at petco and it fell apart in a week. oh well live and learn I guess. If you are looking for good QUALITY stuff for you pet you should definitely check this place out. Their website is amazing as well!!!

I've been shopping at Trixie and Peanut for my two dogs for six years and have never had a bad experience. They have the best collars and leads, sweaters and t-shirts, and pet costumes! And the prices are really reasonable - I never feel like I'm overpaying because they're located in NY. If you're fortunate enough to be in the area you should definitely stop in the store, otherwise order online!

A good store if it was not for the persons working there... Have never been to a store with such ignorant and unwilling people to help you and I will never go there again... If you want a good petshop with nice prices try out the "Pet Market" at 338 W 57TH ST... Very nice staff and a lot off nice outfits for dogs and cats. Dont go to Trixie and Peanut!!!
Fees to return defective items
By luckystars on 11/13/2008
Don't fall in the trap of buying something here. Shopper beware. If you buy an item that is broken before you take it out of the bag, the sales staff will make you bring the item back multiple times to speak to someone who has authority to make returns, and finally give you a store credit minus a $12 restocking fee for their trouble. Unfortunately their system forces them to deduct the $12 fee, because you should have inspected the item more closely and not bought it to begin with if it had a defect. I've never written a review for any store before, and I love this magazine and its recommendations. The item I bought was actually recommended, and it's possible the writers hadn't dealt with the frustration of buying something here. I was actually treated so rudely that I signed up for an account to let the other readers of this magazine know. Has anyone else had a similar experience paying a fee to return a defective item?
