I have to say I don't know what all these other reviewers are talking about. I have always had great experiences with this store. It is a little pricey but they have GREAT sales at the end of the season. The first time I went there I got two bags that were originally $500 and $700 and got BOTH on sale for $500. I am really picky about my shoes and bags but I almost always find something that I cannot live without in this store. The sales people are a bit pushy but if you shop their often and they will sometimes give you extra % off sale items. One thing to note is that only the downtown (Bleeker street) location has shoes. I've been to the uptown location once or twice but I dont like it as much. I think that store has a lower price point and it is so cluttered I cant see anything. The downtown location is worth checking out for sure.

I went to this store and bought the cutest and stylish ginger michelle bag. The saleswoman said that the maker of the bag called the store b/c she was appalled at how "cheap" she was selling her bag for....I was sold - I thought I was getting SUCH a deal. I mean, I love the bag. I love the bag so much that I googled Verve to see if I could do some online shopping and I stumbled upon this site. I was concerned about what i read. So i looked up my bag on the ginger michelle website. The bag was selling for less that what I bought it for (not my much, but still less). I just felt really deceived when I found out that the saleswoman had lied to me.....be warned.

I understand that stores have policies. However, sometimes there is common decency or maybe even Christmas Spirit! Not here. I purchased a bag at Verve as an x-mas gift for my wife. Two hours later i find out my sister-in-law purchased a similar one for her. I called The owner and explained, he refused to budge on the policy. He offered me an exchage which does no good in a store full of bags. The whole point is she is already getting a bag. Well $100 was more important to him than understanding my situation or helping me out. It's bad customer service and bad karma. Let's enforce the rules of karma and go only to stores that care about the customer.

This store sells the same cheap bags you can buy in Chinatown, but jacks up the price by about 75% because it is on Bleeker strreet. THE DAY AFTER my wife received a bag it started falling apart. An $80 purse didn't last one full day before the seems started coming apart. Also, the clerks in there are like used car dealers, the store is tiny and the second you walk in there you have two people shoving bags in your face and WILL NOT leave you alone, to notice how cheaply made everything is. This store is the first I have ever reviewed because I am so passionate about how bad the store is. And i wouldn't wish the experience I had there on anyone.
