I walked into this store with my daughter this afternoon to buy a pet toy. My daughter, who is one years old, picked up an item and snuggled it. The store clerk, who I believe is the owner, said "that's handmade - she can't touch that!" she proceeded to walk over and viciously rip it out of my daughter's hands, who was in my arms. Needless to say, my daughter was traumatized and I was in shock. Had she given me a moment, I could have had my daughter put it down. I was very shaken up and my daughter was screaming, which is not her personality - she is very good natured and does not scream in stores. We walked out of there and within seconds I was trying not to cry myself. I have never experienced something like this before, and this is definitely not your friendly "neigborhood" store.

I have to take issue with the other review. I shopped at this store for years when I lived in the neighborhood and have never seen either owner treat a customer badly. The brunette is a bit more aloof than the friendlier blond owner, but I've never had anything less than pleasant service over numerous visits. The shop has lovely leashes/collars/coats, high end treats and nice (but over-priced) pet beds as well as other pet-related miscellany. Prices are a bit steep but worth it for the treats. The layout is bright and nice, not cramped like other pet stores. It's a nice neighborhood shop that doesn't deserve the anonymous slander of the other review. It's a good pet store.

I found this store to be creative in their merchandising and product selection
