A Bridal Hair & Makeup Salon by Marina Vance NYC

Vance specializes in day-of hair extensions and Cinderella updos, complete with tiaras and jeweled hair clips. She’s done hair and makeup for Sarah Jessica Parker, Diane von Furstenberg, and Vanessa Williams. Hair and makeup trials are $300; day-of rates are $999 for the bride and $249 for each additional person.

Alex Anthony Salon

Alex Mnayarji and Allison Lacorazza’s team offers fresh looks for brides with both modern and traditional bents. For updos, ask for Mae Richards; Ana Daniels is a master at creating curly styles. Trials are $100; day-of for the bride is $200 in-salon or $350 on-site in Manhattan. All others are $100 in-salon and $125 on-site.

Blowouts are the focus at this salon—although the stylists also do cuts, color, nails, waxing, and makeup. Wedding-day dos start at $150, and the Bubbles ’n’ Blow package ($60 per person) enlivens a bridal-party’s session with flutes of prosecco. (good value)

Head to this salon for natural-looking color overhauls. Cuts are $150; single-process color, $115; highlights, $175 to $275; bridal updos start at $150. Borja’s colorists also make house calls. (good value)

Courtney Benedetti brings her red-carpet looks to New York brides, specializing in soft, romantic updos and glamorous waves. Trials are $200; day-of package rates start at $725 for the bride and two others.

Bumble and Bumble

At this favorite salon of many beauty editors, Allen Wood is the stylist for classic, cool bridal updos. Trial runs and wedding updos start at $200 for the bride in-salon; $350 on location. Bridal-party updos are $165 in-salon and $275 on location.

These low-key salons are go-tos for highlights but also offer great updos (trials and day-of from $125). Bridal packages ($270 to $400) include makeup. (good value)

Devachan Salon

Known for coaxing the best out of natural curls, these pros (who largely use organic products) do cuts and updos starting at $110 each. (ecofriendly / good value)

Dov Salon

A veteran of runway shows (Chanel, Thierry Mugler) and magazines (Vogue Italia, Elle), Dov is known for custom hairpieces that make any style look fuller. Consultations start at $250; day-of styling from $500.

This popular chain specializes in blowouts of all kinds: sleek and straight, beachy waves, you name it, all for just $40. Stylists come to you for its Dry-on-the-Fly service ($95). A blowout and updo is $160 for a two-hour session. Brides get 30 percent off the price of an updo for in-salon trials. (good value)

Eliút Salon

The stylists here specialize in extensions that last up to four months (from $1,500). Trials sans extensions start at $150. Makeup from in-house pro Robin Narvaez starts at $320 on-site; trials are $160.

Eva Scrivo

Kick things off with a trial run that includes hair ($150 to $300), makeup ($150 to $200), and a consultation with Scrivo upon request. Day-of appointments range from $150 to $350 for hair and $200 for makeup. Bridal parties can book Scrivo’s private, five-chair Madison Avenue studio at no extra charge.

Fabio Scalia

Proprietor Scalia considers each bride’s style and bone structure when dreaming up bridal dos in this airy, relaxed salon. Consultations are $175 to $275; day-of updos start at $175 and blowouts at $58. On-location, day-of services are $250 to $350 an hour.

Frédéric Fekkai

Fekkai has long been the last word in understated, touchable hair that befits the uptown bride. The 90-minute Beauty Getaway package combo ($125) covers all the necessities: manicure, pedicure, and bikini wax. Cuts start at $125, bridal updos at $325.

Garren New York

The stylists at this gorgeous salon are known for their versatility. Brides who want a classic look should book Jason Quinn; Manabu Unno handles edgier dos and extensions. Cuts and styling with namesake Garren Defazio are $705.

Hiro Haraguchi Salon

Frizz-prone brides count on this minimalist salon for its expert Japanese straightening and collagen hair treatments. Updos and makeup start at $200 each. The salon can also be rented for bridal parties.
