Although Fischl initially began peddling small props for weddings, her business has expanded into a full-rental studio that specializes in upholstering. A cascade of fabric bolts (linens, satins, and taffetas) transforms her plain couches and chairs into luxe furnishings, and the turnaround is fairly fast. Most furniture is reupholstered for each event, so there’s no need to worry about stains from previous parties. Upholstered chairs are $35; couches are $250-$350.
