Saving Grace: Bridal Showers

Q: Who should pay for the bridal party's trip to the spa?
A: These days, bridal showers are huge events unto themselves, and one of the trendiest choices is a trip to the spa. But those mani-pedis can really start to add up. Spa owner and frequent bridal shower host Dorit Baxter says, "Groups should agree to split the bill equally, and if one guest is struggling financially, someone should offer to pay for them beforehand. This is a day of celebration and bonding; there shouldn't be any stress." And if all agree that the event is too expensive, an elaborate shower isn't necessary: Just move the shower home, cater it yourselves, and be sure there's plenty of champagne to go around.
