Speciality: Energy, Utilities & Environmental Law

Franca DeRosa’s practice encompasses all aspects of energy and environmental law. She has counseled corporations, manufacturers, developers, energy companies, and renewable energy companies on a variety of environmental and regulatory matters.

Franca has been involved in the acquisition, restructure, development, and financing of various electric generating facilities, as well as renewable energy projects. She has represented numerous clients who have remediated and redeveloped industrial and commercial sites, including Brownfields sites, into productive and marketable properties. She has also represented contractors and construction companies in evaluating and effectively addressing environmental issues for residential, commercial, and industrial developments. In addition, Franca has extensive experience with the Federal, State, and Local Regulatory Agencies.

Franca is a member of Brown Rudnick’s Management Committee and the Women’s Initiative Working Group. She formerly chaired the Firm’s Hiring Committee and Diversity Committee. She has been consistently listed in Chambers and Partners USA guide and recognized by Super Lawyers and The Best Lawyers in America. She was selected by The Best Lawyers as “Lawyer of the Year” for Energy Law (2019) and Environmental Litigation (2020).
