Specialty: Divorce and Family Law

Family law has evolved significantly in the more than 40 years since Sari Friedman first began practicing law. But as a leading authority on divorce matters, Friedman has remained at the forefront of her field. And today, the practice she runs with her daughter Andrea is recognized throughout Long Island, the five boroughs and the lower Hudson valley, as well as Westchester County, for its zealous advocacy and personalized service.

“Our family-oriented drive is reflected in both our firm’s operations and the clients we help,” notes Sari, who, in addition to being AV Preeminent® rated by Martindale-Hubbell® and included in New York Metro Super Lawyers, received Hofstra University School of Law’s 2017 Women Leaders in Law award. “We understand the importance of family, and our growth has been informed by our collaborative, personal approach.” Indeed, since becoming a named partner in 2014, Andrea, a Westchester resident, has helped grow the firm by successfully launching its office in White plains.

In 2017, Andrea was recognized by Long Island Business News as one of its “40 Under 40,” after being named to its “Ones to Watch” list in 2014. She has also received the 2018 – “Emerging Leader” Award, Outstanding Women in Law, Hofstra University School of Law and achieved the Rising Star award, by Super Lawyers. She also serves on the board of the Westchester Women’s Bar Association. “Diligence is key in this field, and it helps that both of us love what we do,” Andrea says. “Everyone’s situation is different, and it’s always rewarding when you’re able to help clients move forward in their lives.”
