Rivington Street

Swoon, one of the best-known New York street artists, attaches single figures (either screen-printed or hand-cut from newsprint) to walls around the city. The figures are sometimes allegorical and sometimes represent ordinary street characters: children playing ball, men sitting on milk crates. In this rare installation, Swoon has placed several of her characters in a street-scene background.
