In the tradition of Festivus, a made-up holiday that somehow caught on after its introduction in a 1997 episode of Seinfeld, the Nickelodeon series iCarly has caused a real-world trend with a meal invented by one of the show’s characters: spaghetti tacos. According to the New York Times, the Italian-Mexican culinary crossover has become the most-requested item at sleepovers, family dinners, and cafeterias across the country. What’s more, “Spaghetti tacos has made it possible to eat spaghetti in your car,” said Syracuse professor Robert Thompson, an adult frequently quoted in the New York Times. “It’s a very important technological development.
