Mark Ronson, producer and music artist, is reportedly writing all the music for the upcoming Arthur reboot. “It’s my my first time doing a film score and it’s something I’ve wanted to do for a really long time,” he explained. Ronson was initially just filling in on the film score, but he wound up being recommended for the gig by Russell Brand, who stars in Arthur alongside Helen Mirren. Brand plays a quirky rich guy, so Ronson might be a good fit for the score. UPDATE: Theodore Shapiro is actually scoring the film. Ronson will be contributing “several” original sounds with vocals by Daniel Merriweather to the soundtrack. [Mirror UK via Playlist/Indiewire]
