After Arnold Schwarzenegger left political office, he worked fast to set up several new acting projects — including Terminator sequels, a cartoon, and the films Cry Macho and The Last Stand. Now, though, with recent revelations about his crumbling marriage and out-of-wedlock child, a rep for Schwarzenegger announced a film freeze, stating, “Governor Schwarzenegger is focusing on personal matters, and is not willing to commit to any production schedules or timelines.” That may be for the best, since as the New York Times notes, Schwarzenegger’s intended next project Cry Macho would see him falling for a Mexican woman and bonding with an 11-year-old boy, two plot points that might serve as an uncomfortable reminder of Schwarzenegger’s personal problems.
