One of the music world’s most high-profile marriages is over. Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are divorcing, the couple said today in a joint statement: “We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have come to amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time.” The two have been together for seven years and were thought to be inseparable, especially over the past year, when Anthony made several guest appearances during Lopez’s hosting stint on American Idol. In fact, the two singers just began shooting a new reality competition show, Q’Viva! The Chosen, which will follow the duo as they try to find the next Latin music superstar. Awkward!
