Some belated congratulations are due for British singer Dido, who gave birth to her first child back in July, yet kept the new arrival under wraps until the Daily Mail caught wind of it this week. If that sort of move seems unusual in an era where celebrity minutiae is tracked at all times, it’s nothing compared to the even-more-unusual name she chose for the little guy: Stanley. Yes, Dido named her child Stan, despite (or maybe even because of?) the fact that her most famous hit was singing the chorus for Eminem’s “Stan,” where the titular character is a suicidal superfan. Let’s hope she only realized the connection this week. Wouldn’t that be fun? (“I knew it sounded familiar!”)
