Apparently America’s Next Top Model’s most extraordinary judge, André Leon Talley, goes to Manolo Blahnik’s sample sale every season. So for this season’s sale, which begins tomorrow, the label has decided to put him to work. But mostly in the same capacity as Tyra Banks puts him to work, which isn’t really work at all. “Page Six” reports that Talley will be the “official master of ceremonies” at the sale tomorrow, which is what he’s become on America’s Next Top Model while Nigel Barker crumbles under his own bitterness. A press release explains, “He will be playing the role of Prince Charming and help women slip into their perfect shoe.” This must be one of those freelance projects that necessitated a title change at Vogue before he could take it on. And if you already planned to hit tomorrow’s sale, now you can look forward to even longer lines! But those are so much more worth it when you know Talley might poke you with his cane once you make it inside.
