The CFDA announced the second-ever group of designers to be selected for the cutely titled Fashion Incubator Program, which provides mentoring and free workspace in the garment district for its participants, all in the name of boosting their business to the next level. (The incubator is not to be confused with the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, which gives its recipients straight-up cash.) This year’s class will get a few additional perks: The program has partnered with NYU’s Stern Business School, so designers will get free business advice and bookkeeping help from MBA students.
