It takes an unheard of amount of skill scumminess to unite all factions of the Internet behind Christine O’Donnell, someone the Internet usually enjoys mocking to no end. But according to the Smoking Gun, Dustin Dominiak is the guy who, with an anonymous Gawker essay that revealed information about O’Donnell’s lady parts, was able to do it. They tracked him down through his former roommate, Brad Kurisko, a Boy Scouts of America employee whose uniform Dominiak was wearing for Halloween in the photos that ran with the Gawker story. They couldn’t get Kurisko to tell them who “Anonymous” was, but soon enough, Kurisko and “Anonymous” gave it away by accident.
While Kurisko refused to out “Anonymous,” some online activity this evening may point to the author’s identity. Shortly after his last phone conversation with a TSG reporter, a single name disappeared from Kurisko’s list of Facebook friends.
The man with whom electronic ties were abruptly cut is Dustin Dominiak, a 28-year-old buddy who attended Albion College with Kurisko. Records show that Dominiak has previously shared a Philadelphia address with Kurisko. One online posting reports that Dominiak, a Michigan native, has worked as an auditor at the Federal Reserve in Philadelphia. Dominiak is pictured at left.
Later, the Smoking Gun was able to wrangle a confession out of Kurisko: It was Dominiak.
We don’t know much more about this Dominiak other than what TSG reports: 28 years old, Albion College, Michigan native, worked at the Federal Reserve in Philadelphia. A Nexis search shows that — unless there were two Dustin Dominiaks of the same age in the same part of Michigan, which is possible, we guess — his sixth-grade team won a Cass County team spelling bee in 1994, according to the South Bend Tribune. Also, recoils at the sight of female pubic hair. Anyone else know anything more about Dominiak? Send it to Gawker. We’re sure they’ll publish it.
