Mitt Romney Slogan Contest Not Won Yet

National Review editor Rich Lowry has suggested an “implicit slogan” for Mitt Romney: “No one ever regretted hiring Mitt Romney to do a job.” That’s true! Unless you count the people of Massachusetts, 65 percent of whom disapproved of his job performance when he finished his term as governor. And since this is the one example of Romney serving in public office, it’s probably fairly relevant.

Indeed, since Romney ran for office promising to be “moderate” or progressive,” and now says he in fact was a “severely conservative” governor, maybe the winning slogan here is caveat emptor.
