The 113th Congress is being sworn in today, and just because the 112th passed a fiscal cliff deal, long talks about the budget and the national debt are far from over. Our own John Heilemann joined the Morning Joe panel today, discussing the fiscal challenges the new Congress will face. “Republicans now think they have more leverage on the spending stuff … now they’ve got to be the party that puts forward all the stuff they’ve never shown real guts for cutting before,” Heilemann said. “The president’s going to be saying ‘After you, guys, let’s go.’”
