Three’s a trend: Treme and Don Jon actor Rob Brown is suing Macy’s and the NYPD, claiming he was wrongly handcuffed and held at the department store on 34th Street after buying sunglasses with a credit card the store suspected was fraudulent. Two black shoppers sued Barneys on similar grounds this week. Brown, who was not charged, said he was suspected only because he’s “a young black American male.”
