In case you didn’t get around to Frank Rich’s latest National Circus installment, or only have a minute and a half to understand what it was about, he gave Piers Morgan the abridged version on Wednesday night. Rich said Chris Christie’s departure from the Republican right on issues like gun control and immigration reform renders him a non-starter as a Republican presidential candidate, because he’s just not conservative enough. Thus, Christie’s win Tuesday night was “meaningless.” Well, except for that he won’t lose access to Drumthwacket for another four years or so.
