According to NBC New York, an apparently desperate adult “placed decorative tape over the mouths” of five third graders at Elizabeth’s Winfield Scott Elementary because, as a girl named Angelique explained, “we were jabbering too much.” But, as the woman probably should have anticipated, her unconventional use of classroom supplies backfired when the kids jabbered to their parents and regular teacher about the incident. Maybe she and the sub who was fired for asking her charges for dating advice can start some kind of crazy alternative school together.
