Rats Are Winning Their War on Condé Nast Staffers

Upon arriving in their new offices at One World Trade Center last month, Condé Nast employees were greeted by rats who left droppings everywhere, nibbled on couture, and reportedly made Vogue editor Anna Wintour refuse to enter her office unless it had been deemed rodent-free by an underling. Now the Daily News reports that the rats are gaining ground. They’ve “taken over” more offices, staffers are banned from eating at their desks, and Wintour doesn’t even want to enter the building. “A bunch ate through the ceiling of a sports editor’s office and crawled all over his desk and left poops on his keyboard,” said a source. “They ate through his rug to fit under his door.” If the next issue of Bon Appétit has a giant hunk of Swiss cheese on the cover, send help.
