Remember the Masters, when everyone thought Tiger Woods playing golf after being exposed as a serial adulterer would somehow be more interesting than Tiger Woods playing golf before we knew he was a serial adulterer? Well, the next major, the U.S. Open, starts today, and Tiger’s back out there, though no one seems to mind all that much. That’s right: Golf’s back to being as dull to watch on television as it always is. (Though you’ll still be lazily watching it from the couch on Sunday, if just to remind you to call your dad for Father’s Day.) Tiger played better at the Masters than he has since, and he’s not considered one of the tournament favorites. You never know with that guy, though. More to the point: Does this mean the Tiger Woods story is almost over? Please? Fingers crossed? Anyway, he’s teeing off right about now.
