Amar’e Stoudemire Launching a Website Mixing Fashion, Hoops, and Math

Amar’e Stoudemire.

It’s nice to know Amar’e Stoudemire has a back-up plan, in case the NBA lockout never ends: The Post reports that he’s launching a website at, which will focus on sports and fashion. (Somewhere, Sean Avery is wondering how he didn’t think of this first.) The site will also have an education component. As MediaBistro explains, Stoudemire and Big Lead Sports will “create a educational curriculum integrating math and fantasy basketball .” And what will Stoudemire get out of this partnership? There’s a revenue-sharing agreement in place, and he’ll get a small equity stake in the company. So every time you click on a post about Anna Wintour crunching numbers in advance of her fantasy-basketball trades (we assume this will be a regular feature), you’ll make Amar’e just a little bit richer. What a world. [NYP, SportsNewser/mediabistro]
