Long Island players celebrate after defeating Robert Morris 85-82 in overtime to win the Northeast Conference Championship NCAA college basketball game Wednesday, March 9, 2011 in New York.

There are currently 13,570 perfect brackets in ESPN’s Tournament Challenge, but, sad to say, none of them can be found in our New York Magazine bracket pool. Three entries missed only one game — including one from New York’s own Matt Giles — and pretty much everybody’s still in it. (It helps that chalk went 15-1 yesterday. It was not the most exciting first day of the tournament ever.) We hope you got some sleep, because the tournament kicks right back up again at 12:15 with Cincinnati playing Texas. Highlights this afternoon include upset target Georgetown playing Belmont, Florida tackling Virginia, and North Carolina playing those hippies in Vermont. And don’t forget the late game tonight: Our own LIU Brooklyn facing Michigan State and trying to become the first-ever No. 16 seed to defeat a No. 1. Today will surely be more exciting.
