The best part about having MLB.tv — other than it allows us to be closer to our Cardinals than if we lived next door to Busch Stadium — is the ability to, on any given summer night, listen to Vin Scully before you go to bed. Last night was a particular pleasure. Soon-to-be-fired Rockies manager Jim Tracy came out to argue a (missed) call in center field, and after he was thrown out, he started cursing up a storm, as one does. This allowed Scully, in his inimitable Vin Scully way, to “translate” Tracy’s vulgarities into family-friendly prose. You really just have to watch it. Vin Scully still does this, every night.
