lockouts suck

Random Hockey Video of the Day, Holiday Edition: What Christmas Means to Igor Larionov’s Daughters

The NHL lockout has been in effect for more than three months now, and so, with no actual games to report on, we’re going to link to a different hockey video every day until a new CBA is reached. And because we like to keep things festive, from now until Christmas, said hockey videos will all be holiday-themed. Today: Alyonka and Diana Larionov spread Christmas cheer.

Hockey fans might be familiar with Alyonka Larionov: She’s done work for TSN and Pens TV, and she’s the daughter of Hall of Famer Igor Larionov. (These days, she works as the host of Barclays Center’s in-house BCTV.) A few years back, Alyonka and her sister, Diana, recorded a holiday song called “What Christmas Means to Me,” with proceeds benefiting Hockey Fights Cancer. It’s pretty darn catchy, and the video features appearances by a bunch of NHL players and other hockey people.

And so, on Day 93 of the NHL lockout, here’s what Christmas means to the Larionov sisters, Evgeni Malkin, Patrick Kane, and many others.
