“This Is Thursday”
The leafy roof garden at the Delancey is so lush, it serves as a getaway for Lower East Siders unable to make it to the beach. On the main floor, D.J.’s Louisahhh and Boyracer spin a cheeky mix of indie rock and mutant disco, while upstairs in the garden, fey new new-wavers and dreadlocked reggae fans sip rum-and-Cokes to the heavy bass of Jamaican dub.

“The Show”
Mark Ronson might be the biggest D.J. in the city, but at this brand-new party, he leaves Crobar’s giant main space for the VIP room, where he spins an eclectic selection of house, soul, and hip-hop. Alternate-week D.J. Q-Tip helps bring out an intriguing mix of PR types and black bohemians.

“Pop Your Funk”
What’s better than disco to kick-start an early weekend? The poppy, ecstatic sound of the Paradise Garage is hot right now, but no one does it better than D.J.’s Roy Dank and Brennan Green. The energetic crowd even keeps pace when the music accelerates into acid house.
first Thursday of the month at APT, 419 W. 13th St., nr. Ninth Ave.; 212-414-4245.

“Basement Bhangra”
The Caribbean-centric vibe at SOB’s feels especially right in the summertime, and free mojitos from 7 to 8 P.M. are the perfect way to segue into a long weekend. This long-running party hasn’t lost its juice, thanks to the devoted dancers who come out for D.J. Rekha’s tabla-driven mix of hip-hop, drum and bass, and Bollywood soundtracks
first Thursday of every month, 204 Varick St., at W. Houston St.; 212-243-4940.
