Hollywood in New York for the Holidays

Tonight’s boldfaced parties:

Children at Heart gala. Pier 60, Chelsea Piers, West Side Hwy. nr. 14th St., 5 p.m. The list of scheduled guests starts strong with Steven Spielberg, Michael Douglas, Oliver Stone, Jon Voight, and Edie Falco, then jumps directly over the B-list to Judge Judy, Howie Mandel, Tara Reid, Steve Gutenberg, and Montel Williams.

International Emmys. New York Hilton, 1335 Sixth Ave., nr. 54th St., 5 p.m. Christine Amanpour, Katie Couric, Ashleigh Banfield, Rosie Perez, and Padma Lakshmi are expected. Currently, the top item on Lakshmi’s official Website is a notice about her recent mention in US Weekly’s “Who Wore It Best?” column.

Déjà vu premiere, Ziegfeld Theater, 141 W. 54th St., nr. Sixth Ave., 6 p.m. Scheduled attendees include Déjà Vu–affiliated celebrities such as Denzel Washington, Val Kilmer, Tony Scott, and Jerry Bruckheimer, as well as special bonus celebrities Regis Philbin and Christina Ricci.

Screening of The Fountain. Tribeca Grand Hotel, 2 Sixth Ave., nr. White St., 7 p.m. Stars Rachel Weisz and Hugh Jackman and director Darren Aronofsky will be there. Humorously, there’s a listing in Google for the Tribeca Grand Motel, which, were it to exist, would be where Chevy Chase’s National Lampoon’s Vacation family would end up on their New York vacation, were they to exist.

Looking for something lower-key and more accessible? Check out all our Agenda listings for tonight, selected by New York’s culture editors.
