Broadway, 9:20 p.m. Stars Tony Shalhoub and Patricia Heaton will be there; actorish types including Annabella Sciorra, Julianna Margulies, and Andrew McCarthy are also promised. Sciorra and Margulies have both done sex scenes with James Gandolfini on The Sopranos. Is McCarthy next?
• A Night For India. Avery Fisher Hall, 10 Lincoln Center Plz. nr. Columbus Ave., 5:00 p.m. Zubin Mehta will conduct the New York Philharmonic through two pieces; expected guests include Julianne Moore, Natalie Merchant, Sarah McLachlan and the Blythe Danner-Gwyneth Paltrow mother-daughter tag team. We always mistakenly think Natalie Merchant sang “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” probably because it’s impossible to believe someone actually decided “Bonnie Tyler” was a good stage name for a pop songstress. Bonnie Tyler? Does she cut her records in the little house on the prairie? Come on!
