The Times today reports that the federal suit against Bloomberg LP for “wrongful discrimination against females based on their sex and pregnancy” has expanded since September from four women to over 50. These women claim that their employment track was derailed by taking maternity leave in some fashion, and lawyers expect that more will join up with the suit. A Bloomberg LP rep was quick to note that all of the incidences in the suit took place after the mayor had left the company. But if the mayor returns to run the multi-billion-dollar media empire, he will likely have to deal directly with this particular dirty diaper.
