Kelly Killoren Bensimon is one of Page Six Magazine’s rotating columnists, along with Intel favorite Lydia Hearst. Kelly, a former model herself, is a journalist (she has a column in Hamptons mag and helped launch Gotham and Elle Accessories) and socialite. But she’s also a mom, and she talks about it in this week’s column in Page Six Magazine. See, Kelly has two daughters and she wanted help “fine-tuning” her relationship with them — so she hired a “supernanny.” Yes, just like that one from TV. Now, it’s expensive, Kelly assures us, but it’s worth it. Trying to talk about the cost of a supernanny, she says, is like “talking about the cost of in vitro fertilization!”
You can’t put a price on something so serious. This woman is amazing — like the child whisperer. She is teaching me about boundaries and how to talk to Sea, 10, and Teddy, 7, so that we’re on the same wavelength.
Wait, the “child whisperer”? Don’t we use the term for people who can understand animals like horses and dogs? One hires them to talk to creatures that can’t speak.
Man, we wish we were socialite-models in addition to being journalists. Hiring someone to talk to their kids for them? They get to outsource everything.
