Other than Limited chairman Les Wexner, there aren’t a lot of people who have copped to doing the kind of business with money manager Jeffrey Epstein that kept dude in
heated sidewalks and
defecating dog statues before he was sent to prison this year for hiring minors to give him erotic massages. But yesterday, Cityfile found what they say could have been one of his clients, Apollo Management founder Leon Black.
Vanity Fair at one point had reported that Epstein and Black dined together, but it seems they also had some kind of business relationship: Epstein is listed on the board of Black’s charitable organization, the Leon D. Black Foundation, which works with such groups as the Children’s Museum of Manhattan. Did Epstein manage Black’s billions? Was he an Apollo investor himself?
OR: Was he just really, really interested in helping out with the Children’s Museum? Any of those are possible, we should
think.
