Remember when we found out that Scarlett Johansson and Barack Obama were e-mail buddies? She told Politico he wrote her “thoughtful” e-mails and that he’s a “huge movie lover” and she was so flattered because, “You’d imagine that someone like the senator, who is constantly traveling and constantly ‘on’ — how can he return these personal e-mails?” And everyone was like, “Whoa, Obama has totally been corresponding with ScarJo’s boobs.” Because duh. Then Obama, of course, went out and denied it: “I write saying, ‘Thank you, Scarlett, for doing what you do,’ and suddenly we have this e-mail ‘relationship,’” he said, which kind of had the effect of making Scarlett look like a double hussy for talking about the e-mails in the first place. Or so we thought. Scarlett says we’re doing a disservice to womankind. “I kept thinking to myself, ‘God, if this was just, like, Kal Penn or George Clooney or any of the other [Obama] surrogates or supporters … there wouldn’t be [any] question about it. Nobody would even talk about it,” ScarJo told the AP the other day. Well, yeah. Also, Reggie Love probably wouldn’t have returned their e-mails.
“This election was lost by the Democrats,” he says.
