Republican senator John Cornyn from Texas is sticking to his guns (despite the good feelings of today) and still planning to block Hillary Clinton’s swift confirmation as secretary of State. Citing what he says is a lack of transparency regarding her husband’s foreign-affairs work, he plans to block the vote of “unanimous consent” this afternoon at the Senate meeting over Obama’s nominees. It will later have to wait until a full roll-call vote a few days from now. [Washington Times]
