In late February, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bündchen had a low-key wedding among friends in Santa Monica. There were no paparazzi, no pictures of the Brazilian beauty in her wedding dress, and a striking lack of both drama and celebrity reporting. This, they clearly realized, would simply not do. So they planned a redo of the wedding, this time down in Costa Rica at one of Gisele’s homes. They brought along Brady’s son, Jack, this time, and were a lot less discreet about their plans. Tabloids were already reporting about the event — which took place on Saturday — last week. On the guest list were Gisele’s fashion friends and some of Brady’s teammates, and Patriots owner Bob Kraft. All was going swimmingly and then — just to put the icing on the cake — the paparazzi began to swarm. Some got so close that the couple’s team of bodyguards could see them from Gisele’s patio, and gave prompt chase. They even got the chance to shoot handguns at a pair from the photo agency INF, which only happens at absolutely the best celebrity weddings. See, even though they may be at the top of their games now, Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen know all too well that to really get the results you want, you have to work hard and keep trying.
