24 star Kiefer Sutherland is supposed to be in Toronto today, but instead he’s still in New York City where he’s expected to turn himself in to police at the First Precinct station house in Tribeca. He’s expected to he charged with third-degree misdemeanor assault over his alleged attack on Proenza Schouler designer Jack McCollough on Monday night at the bar subMercer, during an after-party for the Met Costume Institute Ball. Meanwhile, McCollough, who was hospitalized with a broken nose, is not staying silent about the affair. His publicist told People that “he was the victim of a vicious, violent, unprovoked assault and that the matter is in the hands of the authorities,” adding that “[a]nyone who knows Jack McCollough knows that he would not hurt a fly.” The Cut has the full background on the altercation.
