At last night’s U2 show in New Jersey, known Bloomberg fan Bono gave the mayor, who was in attendance at the concert, quite a shout-out. It was basically an endorsement, complete with a double entendre. (“Using his ENORMOUS … wallet, he researches new treatments for malaria and stuff. He makes me very proud.”) Bloomberg looked on, modestly, but it took just a few hours for his staff to put the video online.
