The runoff elections for public advocate and comptroller are taking place today, and even fewer New Yorkers are expected to participate than the record-breaking handful that voted on primary day a couple of weeks ago. One poll coordinator, Joseph Lawrence, looked on the bright side, telling the Times that turnout was “better than I expected: maybe 4 percent instead of 2 percent.” Nice!
