A joint terrorism task force raided a number of private residences in Queens today as part of an investigation into a plot in progress. According to the Associated Press, the team began to brief Congress about the threat today as well. So far, the planned target of any resulting attack, or who might carry it out, has yet to be released. No weapons have been found, but according to the report officials called the threat “very real” and “urgent.” Finding out about a terror plot after it’s been foiled is always less comforting than you think it will be, huh?
