Anyone curious about the fancy new Richard Meier Prospect Park building at 1 Grand Army Plaza can hang out in an apartment there tonight, with free wine, food, and prizes, all under the guise of mommy-lit interest. The folks at Brokelyn.com were perusing literary listings when they came across Momasphere’s public party there for Amy Sohn’s book, Prospect Park West. According to Momasphere:
“We’ll be in one of the larger apartments that I believe has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It’s really quite beautiful and fun to get the view from the inside out, especially for those of us in the ‘hood who watched the building go up. Richard Meier on Prospect Park does not host open houses. People generally make appointments for individual viewings. To my knowledge ours is the first such event in the building.”
The party is open to the public and tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door. Proceeds go to charity. It’s bound to be a fascinating mix of real-estate snoopers and Park Slope mommies. [Brokelyn]
