See the New York Alley Where Obama Once Slept

Barack Obama’s time spent in New York City in the early eighties is usually overshadowed by his childhood years in Hawaii and Indonesia, his later life in Chicago, and his secret birth in a mosque in Kenya, but it was formative nonetheless. That’s why “struggling actor” Jeremiah Miller has begun giving two-hour, $25 walking tours of the places were Obama once studied (Columbia), slept (an apartment building, an alley), and worked (NYPIRG). Luckily, for people who don’t like ambulatory movement or spending money, the AP recently went along for the tour and brought a camera. Enjoy!
