The Bryant Park Subway Stop Is Destroying Your Ears

According to a group that went around measuring noise levels in problem areas around the city, the platform at the 42nd Street–Bryant Park subway stop is, at 93 decibels, the loudest place in New York (except clubs, concerts, and the like). Other contenders include Herald Square outside of Macy’s and Times Square near the military recruitment center. Weird, we thought the noisiest spot in the city was in our bedroom, at 6:30 a.m., as the guy upstairs has sex with his girlfriend. [NYP]
