Back in October, newly engaged actors Mamie Gummer and Ben Walker told us they’d set their hearts on Brooklyn, specifically Dumbo. But now, it seems they’ve plunked their real-estate dollars a bit further south. While prepping backstage for her catwalk turn in the Red Dress fashion show last night (right), Gummer told us the couple is buying an apartment in Park Slope, and intend to move in “hopefully in the next couple months.” They like the neighborhood, she says, because it felt like a compromise between the city and the country. “The city kind of drives me crazy, but so does being in the country,” Gummer said. She’s excited, but hasn’t decided whether to join the food co-op: “It’s like an existential question, ‘am I going to join the food co-op,’” she said, cringing. “I don’t know.”
