Anthony Weiner is really getting the hang of this whole contrarian comedian bit. From an anecdote in this morning’s Observer:
“Every single moment that [Democrats] are stroking our beards and gazing at our navel and thinking about the world we’d like to be and singing ‘Kumbaya’ is another day we’re not punching Bill O’Reilly in the nose.”

“I follow Twitter for the Tea Party and just show up to fuck with them,” he said. The crowd of 20-somethings crowed.
“No, I don’t do that. I just sit at my desk and they send me talcum powder every couple of weeks.”
See, that’s funny because he did get an envelope of white powder sent to him with a letter of complaint over his support of health care. And the first joke is funny because conservative politicians aren’t allowed to joke about attacking political commentators, but liberal ones are!
